COVID19 Protocols

Standard practices of hygiene/infection control have been in place for a number of years however with the COVID19 pandemic, new additional measures have been implemented to keep you as safe as possible. Training has been undertaken to reduce the risk of infection, initially through an Infection Control module of Professional Practice training through the Council of Australian Reiki Organisations & recently through an online COVID19 Infection Control Training with the Department of Health. A COVID19 Safe Plan is in place.

We request that everyone observe hygiene practices of

  • frequent hand washing.

  • avoid touching your face.

  • covering your mouth when coughing and/or sneezing.

  • keeping social distance where possible while on the premises.

  • please wear a mask at all times unless you have a medical exemption.

Soap, hand sanitiser, disinfectant wipes, tissues & paper towels will be available for everyone’s use.

Before your appointment, you will be asked to answer questions and to also sign a questionnaire regarding your current health & consent to proceed with treatments or to attend class. As there is direct contact with both treatments and classes, there may be a possibility of disease transmission including COVID19. All clients and students will be asked to observe and to adhere to hygiene practices while on the premises to maintain a safe as possible environment in a shared space.

The questionnaire is a requirement for insurance purposes, to comply with government regulation and a requirement for services to proceed. The below questionnaire will be emailed to clients and students upon receipt of booking. To view the questionnaire, please download below.

It is important that if you are unwell, please cancel your appointment/class and seek medical advice.

If you are in the high risk category, that is, if you are elderly and/or have pre-existing medical conditions, please contact Komyo ReikiDo Melbourne before booking in.
